Hey everybody! I had an absolutely amazing workout tonight. For the first time in FOREVER I lifted perfectly. Tried a few new lifts, upped the weight a bit on my pushdowns, and looked damn good at under 200 lbs.

Also, for the first time ever, I initiated conversation with people. Two ladies, maybe a bit bigger than me at my starting weight, who I had been seeing there with great frequency, actually… As one of them was doing pushups, she plopped on the floor and I kind of chuckled. I took my earbud out and said to her, “You were doing fantastic! Believe me when I say that I could NEVER do that many pushups in a row… I fricking HATE pushups.” And from there, the three of us talked and worked out a bit more. I gave them the best advice that I could from what I’ve learned here on Tumblr:

FIND WHAT EXERCISE YOU LIKE, AND DO IT.

They asked questions about dieting and I told them that eating clean is simply the best and most effective method to “dieting”. They seemed as happy as I was to talk to them. I ended our conversation (before I headed deep into the weight room) with encouraging them to keep going, they’ll get where they want to be eventually, and to keep their chins up no matter what anyone else says to them.

We are fighters. Those of us who start out at an extremely high weight and even ATTEMPT to lose weight… We’re breaking the mold of the typical “fat” person, shedding laziness, and fighting our asses off to show that we ARENT those stereotypes.
